Balash LLC started shortly after Jim Balash completed the Department of Defense Pest Management Certification Course in 2013.  Prior to this he successfully completed the Professional Trappers Fursbearer Management Course in 2011 through Purdue University along with being certified a Professional Trapper through the Fur Takers of America Trapper College in 2011.  Jim's passions are being a lifelong outdoorsman with a commitment to sustainable wildlife control through trapping and hunting to keep the habitat in balance and healthy.  Jim raises Plott Hounds for tracking and hunting.  Jim has successfully farmed and raised livestock since leaving the Army in 1996 including still owning a small hatchery.  Jim was a Biological Science Technician for the USDA specializing in Predatory Wildlife Management until he left for the Department of Defense from 2007 until 2015 when he retired from the DOD as the Wildlife Control Operator of Fort Campbell in Kentucky, where he took care of all wildlife issues on an almost 105,000 acre installation.
